  • May 6-17 (various days): State Testing for 3rd, 4th, and 5th
  • May 17: Bobcat Campout at Tularcitos
  • May 22 5:00-7:00: Tular Open House

Only 24 Yearbooks left to sell

Because we have only 24 yearbooks left to sell, we are closing the online ordering system through Jostens.  We have less than 1 month of school left and the yearbooks are arriving next week.  If you still wish to purchase a basic yearbook, please fill out the attached form and bring it to the office with your $15 payment. Order forms will be available in the office as well.  The first 24 orders will be honored.

Ending Hunger in Monterey County

Did you know ending hunger in Monterey County IS POSSIBLE? Well, it it and we can pitch in and be a part of the solution.  The third grade classes are going to begin their Monterey County Food Bank service project on Monday, May 13th. Please bring in non-perishable foods May 13-24th. Barrels will be out during Open House too, May 22nd. After collecting food at Tularcitos for two weeks, students will then go to the Monterey County Food Bank and help process the donations and learn about solving problems locally.

Campout Help Needed

Only one more week until our first Tular Campout.  More information will be sent out next week with logistics of what to expect when you arrive on Friday.  As a reminder, there are no open flames allowed, so please do not plan on cooking anything on your own.  We are in need of some help during that day still, so if you are willing to help please sign up using the link below  – purchasing a few things prior to the campout, supervising the playgrounds, helping with concessions and s’mores, and helping clean-up.  Most of the shifts to help during the campout are only one hour, so are easy to do.

Campout Dinner Signups if You Want Dinner Provided

To help the CVCYC Pool know how much food they need to provide for dinner, we are asking everyone who is planning on eating dinner at the pool to please go on their website, by Wednesday, May 15th to reserve your meal. Anyone who might try to purchase food at the door may not get any food if we run out!  For the campout, we will have a pancake breakfast provided for everyone Saturday morning, but the only dinner that will be provided is through the CVCYC Pool, so unless you are planning on bringing your own dinner, please pre-purchase your dinners through their website.

Bobcat Art Show Volunteers Needed

One of the highlights of our Open House is our Bobcat Art Show.  We need a number of volunteers before, during, and after to put their work on display.  Please sign up in the link below.!/showSignUp/60b094badad23a0fd0-artshowcase

Message from our PTO

Thank you to everyone who volunteered in our PTO this year.  We had a lot of fun supporting Tularcitos students and staff and helping build our community.  At our meeting on Wednesday we voted in our board for next year.  They are:   President Heaven Tempalski, VP Lauren Robertson, Secretary Gina Nucci Hincks, Treasurer Lauren Collins, and Room Parent Liaison Hilary Hamilton.  Thank you to all of you for stepping up again this coming year.  Next year we will be looking for people to shadow our board to learn about all they do and then step into those roles the following year.  We hope you have a great end to the school year and look forward to working with all of you again next year to keep Tularcitos the amazing school that it is.
