At the onset of our Superintendent search, our consultants at HYA predicted we would likely receive about 20 applications. At the close of the application period, we have a total of 29 applicants from nine states. Of these, 12 have superintendent experience.
“This level of interest and the high quality of applicants is clearly due to the district’s reputation for academic excellence, the array of academic and extracurricular activities opportunities for students, and the district’s clear commitment both to student and staff mental health and to ensuring equitable opportunities and access for every child every day,” noted Dr. Glenn “Max” McGee, President of HYA.
HYA consultants will be completing the screening interviews and background checks this week with the goal of presenting a slate of candidates they are recommending to the Board on Friday, April 9th. The CUSD Board is expected to select five to seven candidates for first round interviews beginning April 16th.
