Carmel Schools honored by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration

Two Carmel Unified schools have been named by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as "Ocean Guardian Schools." This year, Carmel Middle School earned its fifth such award, and Carmelo Child Development Center received its third award. 

 

The Ocean Guardians School Awards are given to schools that make a commitment to the protection and conservation of local watersheds, the world's ocean, and special ocean areas, like national marine sanctuaries.
