Schools Open February 15
At this time, all Carmel Unified schools have power except Carmel Middle School, which is expected to be restored by 11:00 pm. All school sites have been checked for safety after the storm.
Based on this information, it is our plan to open all schools tomorrow (Friday, February 15) with normal activities and bus times, including the evening late bus.
Carmel High School will be on a Thursday block schedule on Friday.
If there are changes to the plan, we will let you know.

Valuable Community Members:
Dear Parents and CUSD employees: A Chicago colleague asked recently, “What is the name of your new school district?” “Carmel Unified,” I responded. “Unified? ” she inquired as though she had misheard. I quickly responded, “Yes, in Chicago we would call it a Unit District. It serves students in grades K-12. Actually we also have a preschool program here, so it’s actually pre-K to grade 12, but it’s about the same thing as a unit district.”
