Counselor College VisitsIn early fall 2009, the Carmel Counseling Department, in collaboration with the school board and site & district administration, framed a plan to promote student matriculation to four year colleges and universities. Each counselor selected a territory of the country to establish relationships with college admissions officers, become regional experts on particular universities and academic programs, and to identify admission criteria specific to each individual campus.
Using the US News & World Report National College and Liberal Arts college rankings in conjunction with current and historic data of Carmel High post-secondary student matriculation, the counselors selected a range of colleges & universities to enhance relationships with "in-demand" universities and to expose our students to alternative competitive four-year schools.
Please feel free to review the sections below for admissions notes, impressions, and photos of our journeys OR speak personally with any of the counselors regarding their specific knowledge and impressions of their campus visit.MR.
