  • News Flash FOCUS is excited to announce the debut of its FOCUS on Giving video, created and produced by the Carmel High School Video Club! We hope that the video gives parents, guardians and community members a peek into how FOCUS grants have supported CUSD students and schools. Please take a few minutes to watch the video (starring some of your favorite teachers!) and help FOCUS continue its mission by donating what you can! 
     
    FOCUS awarded $50,000 in large grants in 2022!  

    Congratulations to all the 2022 Large Grant Recipients (please see the Grants page for a full list of awards)!

    FOCUS has resumed monthly board meetings in-person for the 2022-2023 school year (please see the Meeting Schedule for dates). In-person meetings will be held at 4:30pm at CMS. There will also be an option to join via Zoom if you cannot make it in person. In addition, FOCUS is actively looking to fill the President and Vice President positions as well as a new Social Media Coordinator position for the 2022-2023 school year.To join a meeting via Zoom or if interested in any of the above positions, please contact Rosaleen Ryan Trambley.
     
     
    Thank you for your support during the 2021-2022 school year! FOCUS will resume board meetings in the Fall. Please join us for our next Board meeting.

  • Our Mission
    FRIENDS OF CARMEL UNIFIED SCHOOLS, a California non-profit Corporation and Public Education Foundation, supports quality education within the Carmel Unified School District. The Foundation raises money for the purpose of providing grants for classroom and site enhancements that directly support student learning and engagement. 
     
    Who are we?
    FOCUS is a group of staff, parents and community members who raise funds through donations and events. We donate funds on a continuing basis, for the benefit of all CUSD schools. Since its founding, FOCUS has provided $3,000,000 in grants that support academic and social-emotional student success. Funds are distributed by the Board of Directors based on applications by teachers and administrators in the school district, and every school in our district has received FOCUS funding.
