• Carmel Unified School District - District COVID-19 Dashboard

All confirmed positive COVID-19 incidents connected to Carmel Unified school sites and offices will be posted to this COVID-19 Dashboard page. For the purposes of this dashboard, CUSD is distinguishing between school-based cases and community-based cases, only reporting school-based for every month in the table below.

    • "S.B." School-Based cases (Rapid Antigen and/or PCR test results):

    a. school-based cases will potentially impact individuals' health and wellness at our school or office because there may be site-related exposure OR a positive case was on campus during an infectious period

         i. we will follow California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidance around isolating and notifying close contacts, as needed

    • "C.B." Community-Based cases (CUSD is not reporting Community-Based cases - for detailed reporting numbers for all community cases reported to the Monterey County Health Department visit their website here):
    1. community-based cases DO NOT impact individuals' health and wellness at our school or office because no one at the site was in close contact with the positive individual during the infectious period. Per the CDPH definition, this means no one at the site was within 6 feet of the infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to test specimen collection) until the time the patient was isolated
    2. we will follow the CDPH guidelines around isolating the positive case, as needed

    • Answer: Two different types of notifications go out: one to close contacts with any relevant quarantine or testing requirements or recommendations and one to the larger school community.

    • Question: I am a close contact to a positive case or I am exhibiting COVID symptoms. Where can CUSD students or staff go to get tested?
