Welcome to 2nd Grade.  This is a very exciting year for students, parents, and myself.  We will be learning to write longer and more detailed paragraphs and narratives, master addition and subtraction,  continue to strengthen our reading skills, as well as build strong peer relationships and self confidence.  I am excited for what this school year has to offer!

 

I am a native of Carmel and a product of the Carmel Unified School District.  I too was fortunate to have attended Carmel River School (a long time ago...).   Growing up here on the peninsula has taught me a great appreciation for nature, community, and family.  It was always a given that I would return here after college. This is a difficult place to leave. 

 

I love the natural beauty, the weather, and most of all the people.  I greatly enjoy spending time at the beach, searching for sun in the valley, and long days down the coast in Big Sur.  In addition to everything our area brings us, I love to travel, play sports, and read.  Any good book recommendations?  

I have been in education for the past 20 years teaching 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th here on the peninsula.  I am overjoyed to be  part of the River School family and look forward to meeting you!
