Welcome to Second Grade in Room 24!  My name is Carina Stallcup, and I feel incredibly lucky to be embarking on my 10th year of teaching second grade at Tularcitos. I grew up in San Diego and attended college at UC Santa Barbara.  I moved to the beautiful Monterey Bay area after I graduated and discovered a passion for working with children while I was a volunteer homework tutor in an afterschool program. I was a 4th and 5th grade teacher on the Peninsula before taking time off to raise my two amazing daughters. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, traveling, gardening, and going to the beach. I also love reading, a trait I hope rubs off on my students! I look forward to a fantastic school year!
