Hello, my name is Dana Reding and this is my 22nd year teaching elementary school! This is my eleventh year teaching at Tularcitos. I taught fifth grade for five years and this is my sixth year teaching fourth grade. Prior to teaching at Tularcitos, I taught at Spreckels Elementary for 11 years, where I taught both fifth grade and Kindergarten. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (which has come in handy being a teacher) from Sonoma State University and received my teaching credential from Chapman University. I feel extremely fortunate to be in the teaching profession and am grateful to work with such a wonderful community of students, teachers, and parents.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking, reading, going to the beach, and swimming. My husband, Jerry, and I have four children who have attended or are currently attending school in CUSD. Both my husband and I are Carmel High School alumni!
It is my goal as your child’s teacher to provide a safe, positive, and challenging learning environment. I believe each child possesses unique gifts and my job is to help him or her discover those gifts. Education is a partnership between home and school and I am excited about working with you to help your child develop his or her greatest potential. I am looking forward to another amazing year of teaching and learning at Tularcitos!
