I grew up in Newton, MA, and graduated from Boston
University with a BA in International Relations and Political Science. After
tutoring at an after-school-program, I realized that I had a passion for
teaching and then earned my Masters in Teaching Reading at the University of
San Francisco. I completed most of my student teaching in an urban school
setting. After graduating, I was fortunate to spend the next 8 years teaching
grades K-1 in the San Carlos School District in the Bay Area. I am thrilled to
be starting my third year as a second grade teacher at Tularcitos. I love
coming to work everyday with the beautiful backdrop of Carmel Valley, wonderful
staff and warm community.
When I’m not teaching, I can often be found practicing yoga,
enjoying a good book, adventuring to far off countries or most often hiking and
playing on the beach with my husband and dog, Kai.
