CMS offers a Monterey Bay Outdoor Education experience for all 7th grade students.
Monterey Bay Outdoor Education trip: (MBOE)
Each year, the 7th grade class heads outside for three days in March to learn ecology, marine biology, geology, and more through hands-on experiences in some of the Monterey Peninsula's amazing natural habitats. Through a collaboration with a number of local and state agencies including the California State Parks, Elkhorn Slough, and Monterey Regional Parks, our student learn from their instructors as well as experts in various fields about the varied biomes represented on the Central Coast. Students complete a number of fun but rigorous studies during their three days, as well as become advocates for the environment. We always need many volunteers to make the program work, so please contact Mr. Steely if you are interested in helping out.
