Application Directions

  • Applications must be submitted through Edjoin (except for In-District candidates)  
     
    CERTIFICATED and ADMINISTRATIVE
    Applicants must hold or be immediately eligible for a valid, appropriate California credential.
    A complete Edjoin application packet includes the following:
    1. Edjoin Application
    2. Letter of Intent
    3. Resume
    4. Copy of credential(s) and/or evidence of application, or Affidavit
    5. Three letters of Recommendation - please do not include extra recommendation letters or information
    6. Copy of Identified English Language Learners Authorization unless embedded in credential
    7. Transcripts  
      Edjoin has the capability to download a copy of your credential(s) from the CTC website. If you select this option, it meets the requirement for a copy of your credential.
       
    CLASSIFIED:  
    A complete Edjoin application packet includes the following:
    1. Edjoin Application
    2. Letter of Intent
    3. Resume
    4. Three letters of Recommendation - please do not include extra recommendation letters or information
    5. All the above must be submitted online as attachments to your Edjoin Application.
         
    SUBSTITUTES:

    If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher or a classified substitute, you can stop by the District Office and pick up a substitute application packet.
    We require all our substitutes be fingerprinted with the Monterey County Office of Education Substitute Consortium before we  process any paperwork.
