Welcome to 2nd Grade and thank you for visiting our classroom website. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. I love teaching, and I have been in education for over 25 years! This will be my 10th year teaching at Tularcitos and my 13th year in the Carmel School District. I have also worked in the Monterey School District. Over the years, I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade and I used to coach gymnastics. I have also been an Elementary School Principal. No matter what my role, connecting with students and building life-long relationships with kids and their families is the most rewarding part of being an educator.
I am a native of Monterey and am happy to be raising my two sons in this area. I am a graduate of Lake Forest College near Chicago (Go Cubs!) When I am not in the classroom, I love spending time with my husband and kids, being outdoors, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, or reading!
