Ms. Lebel - Room 16

Welcome to room 16!  Fourth grade is the transition year from an elementary to an intermediate grade level.  Students will be reading novels together and writing narratives, essays, and opinion pieces using their own laptops.
Students can look forward to exploring the rich history of California through a variety of projects and cultural excursions. These may include creating California relief maps, visiting the Cooper Molera Adobe for tortilla making and leatherwork, and designing and creating the 22nd mission for our Mission Day. To enrich historical perspective, we will be reading California period pieces like Island of the Blue Dolphins and By the Great Horn Spoon.
Parents receive regular classroom updates from an emailed newsletter.  I look forward to working with all of the families in our class this year!
