Mrs. Bonynge grew up in Pacific Grove.  She attended Monterey Peninsula College and Azusa Pacific Univeristy before getting her teaching credential from California State Univeristy Monterey Bay in 2002. She holds a bilingual credential in Spanish and has taught elementary school in both the Alisal Union and Salinas City Elementary School Districts.  Her talent and flexibility has allowed her to teach a wide range of students from 2nd to 6th grade. She has been a part of the Carmel River School Staff for eight years. 

Mrs. Bonynge's husband teaches fifth grade at Tularcitos Elementary School in Carmel Valley. Her son and daughter attend Carmel Middle School. She enjoys knitting, sewing and playing the ukulele.
