While Universal Pre-K relies heavily on TK and CSPP (preschool subsidized by CDE), it also includes other early learning programs serving four-year-old children, including district-sponsored preschool and private preschool programs.

At CUSD, families with four-year-old children (with their 5th birthday between September 2, 2023 and April 2, 2024) can choose which pre-K program to enroll them in free of charge: TK located at either elementary school sites or one of the CUSD preschool programs.
