• Parent Involvement Information

The following information offers a sure-fire way to stay involved with your students, be aware of their surroundings and participate in their success. Padre Parents is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting student academic excellence and social well-being. Here are some of the ways to ensure good communication and involvement with your students and school:

    Padre Parents
Support the students, teachers, and staff at CHS both academically and socially. We fund the Time Trackers, Student Directory, free student copier in the library, and small grants to teachers for their classroom needs, special programs, equipment, periodicals & materials. Our members support the College/Career Center, College Night, Academic Recognition, Graduation, Sober Grad and much more. Padre Parents meet the first Thursday of every month at 8am.
Support ongoing music programs in the entire District. Carmel High has an outstanding music program. If you have a student in music or enjoy music in your life, support this very worthy organization.

    Athletic Booster's Page
Support all the athletic programs at CHS. This is a great way to get involved in your student’s extra-curricular activities.

FOCUS raises funds through donations and events to support teacher-initiated grants throughout the entire CUSD. Every school within the District has received FOCUS funding for classroom or school enhancements that help to prepare students for academic and social-emotional success.

    Student Involvement/Community Service
If your student is involved in music, theater, a club or sports, call the faculty advisor or the coach and offer your help. Your student needs 60 hours of Community Service to graduate. Check CHS website for available community service offerings.

    Daily Bulletin
The bulletin can be found in the attendance office every morning or at the web site: www.carmelhigh.org. It’s full of school news, events, community service opportunities, the daily schedule, etc. Read it and stay informed.

    Weekly Principal's Email
Look for your copy of the Friday Principal's email, THE PROGRESS REPORT, via PARENTSQUARE with information on upcoming events, student and school achievements, and lots of interesting news and information.

    Administration, Counselors, and Faculty
The success of your student at Carmel High School is important to everyone. The administration, counselors, and faculty are available to help with any questions or special needs. Take the time to get acquainted; they are there for you and your student.

    • Jonathan Lyons, Principal
    • Craig Tuana, Asst. Principal and ROP Coordinator
    • Debbi Puente, Asst. Principal
    Student Clubs
There are many clubs for CHS students to choose from each year. Many meet during lunchtime and offer both on and off campus activities. The list of clubs and their faculty sponsors should be available shortly after the beginning of school. Watch the bulletin for the list of clubs and their meeting times and locations.

Parents, please encourage your student to become involved in high school early. Whether it is sports, music, special interest clubs, academic enrichment or student government, his or her experience at high school will be enriched by activities that keep young minds busy doing positive things!

Remember to ask questions of your students. If you have a question, you can be sure that ten other parents have the same question! As our students mature and grow, there will be lots of new experiences we will all face together; the challenges of high school, dating, driving, college and career exploration and more. We parents can be there to help along the way by striving to keep the communication lines open and candid.
