Welcome back to our returning 5th grades and welcome to our new 4th grade class members.
We are excited to begin a new year in Room 5.
Getting a Good Start
Our students have already gotten off to a good start by writing a school PACT.  This agreement focused on the pillar of RESPECT.  Our PACT reads as follows:
"We will respect ourselves by doing our best to have a good attitude, and be persistent;
We will respect others by being friendly, kind and polite. We will support and look out for each other.  Treat others the way we wish to be treated.
We will respect our school by following school and classroom rules, pay attention and participate in activities."
Looking Forward
This year, we will be studying the usual subjects of Language Arts, Math, Science (Life, Earth, and Physical) and Social Studies(Early U.S. History.)  In addition, our students will receive instruction in Music, Physical Education, Spanish, Language Development,and Organic Gardening.  We are looking forward to a wonderful year.
Please check our school website for additional upcoming events, field trips and special announcements.

Mrs. Lee

- A short biography of Mrs. Lee-

I was born and raised in Wisconsin.  I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies.  My teaching credential was earned at Sonoma State University.  I lived in Big Sur for many years, where I married and raised two daughters.  I now live with my family in Carmel.  This is my seventeenth year at Captain Cooper School.  I enjoy reading, knitting, camping, and traveling with my family.
