  • Welcome to the Curriculum and Instruction Department

    Our mission is to provide leadership and support in the district's effort to provide the best possible educational experience to each and every student in CUSD. For the 2007-08 school year we are focusing in several areas district-wide. These include:

    • Implementing benchmark assessments and interventions in math and language arts at elementary, middle, and high school.
    • Developing rigor and relevance in all instructional areas
    • Promoting the development of Professional Learning Communities at all of our school sites

    In addition, areas we are working on in collaboration with others are:

    • Assuring access to A-G courses
    • Expanding availability of global languages
    • Implementing a comprehensive K-12 math improvement plan
    • Re-conceptualizing the GATE program, K-12

    We welcome your ideas and input on these and other topics of interest to you.
