  • Bertie Bialek Honored

    Bertie Bialek receives award from Amy FuntRoberta “Bertie” Bialek was honored at a recent school board meeting for her significant contributions to the school district. School Board Member Amy Funt presented a special Crystal Apple Award to Bertie, and acknowledged Bertie’s “significant, ongoing, broad-based and altogether remarkable contributions to Carmel Unified,” which include the bond election, the Hilton Bialek Habitat project, and the new Carmel High theater project. All four of our larger schools achieved a statewide ranking of 10 based on their Academic Performance Index (API), which means they all scored within the top 10% of the state.
