Colleen Green
Teacher

Colleen is from Washington State and has lived on the Monterey Peninsula for seven years. She has worked with children for about twenty years, starting with owning her own family child care center. She has been at Carmelo since 2001.

Colleen's formal education includes a Montessori credential from UC Irvine and an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been studying the philosophy of Reggio Emilia for three years, attempting to translate and intertwine the ideas with the philosophy of Carmelo School. In her spare time Colleen likes to quilt, cook, read and listen to music.

Sarah Maloney
Teacher

Sarah was born in Carson City, Nevada, and grew up in San Francisco. Before coming to Carmelo in August 2006, Sarah taught toddlers at the California State University Monterey Bay Child Development Center, and worked at the Child Development Center at San Diego State for two years in the infant and preschool programs.

Sarah graduated from San Diego State with a Bachelors Degree in Child Development. She recently received her Masters Degree through Pacific Oaks College. Way to go, Sarah! In her spare time, Sarah likes to go to San Francisco as often as she can, take her dog to the beach and read old novels.
