Barbara Beck is Senior Director of Human Resources and Child Development for Carmel Unified School District.  This year she has returned to Carmelo School to serve as the site administrator.   For the past ten years she has worked at the district office, directing the departments of Special Education, Human Resources, and Child Development.  Barbara was the site administrator of Carmelo School during the 1990’s and is delighted to be back with the students, teachers and families at the child development center.  One of her greatest passions is early childhood education.  She began her career with Carmel Unified many, many years ago as an elementary school teacher at River School.  Over the years she has also been an adult school teacher at the Tularcitos Co-op Preschool, a GATE teacher,  ROP teacher, preschool teacher, administrator, and district parent.
