What CPO does...
CARMELO PARENT ORGANIZATION (CPO)

CPO is a formal parent club founded in 1995. They have monthly meetings at Carmelo school. Free childcare is always provided.

CPO Objectives are:

To assist CCDC in meeting students’ needs

      A. Indoor/outdoor materials & equipment
      B. “Discretionary” emergency funds
      C. Early/strong sense of belonging

To meet parents’ needs

      D. Strengthening parenting skills
      E. Sense of community/fun

To reassess parents’ needs


CPO Activities are:

To meet material/discretionary needs (Fundraising)
   a. eSCRIP sales
   b Book Fair (fall/spring)

F. Trike-A-Thon
G. FOCUS Phone-A-Thon
H. T-Shirt/sweatshirt sales

To build a sense of belonging/community
   a. Back-to-School BBQ
   b. Parent Coffees
   c. Autumn Feast
   d. Winter Sing-A-Long
   e. Teacher Appreciation Luncheon
   f. End of the Year Picnic
   g. Monthly CPO meeting

To strengthen parenting skills
  a. Offer parenting series with instructor
  b. Offer classroom parent round tables
